These tops from Locher's are brilliant. Take, for example, this cotton jersey v-neck with pretty embroidery.


A modern spin on a retro, slightly antiquated art form, with a small nod (via the cut, which suggests a kimono) to chinoiserie! How charming!

Switzerland-born, Paris-inhabiting designer Nicole Locher describes her line of vulgarly-embroidered tops as "perversion with a touch of class," which sums it up pretty well. They're both naughty and nice. Traditional and controversial. Deliciously dirty in a subtle, "who, me?" kind of way. Innocent-looking from a distance, but super freaky upon closer examination. Just like you! And Grace Kelly:
